Using Family Systems and Attachment Theories, this presentation will focus on cultural stigma, family shame, and challenges to love. The presenter's new memoir about her father's secret gay life will be used as a heuristic case study. The presentation will appeal to anyone who is keeping a sexual secret or grew up with one. The presenter has written five books on the subject of sexual shame and offers healing strategies.
